My Brother Rick

I know I have written about Rick and his illness before. Last night I had to leave my house at 11:30 at night to head to the hospital. My sweet baby brother was bleeding in his stomach and throwing up blood. It was scary walking those corridors late at night alone and no one around. I finally found my way to the surgical intensive care unit and there he was.Wretching in pain and holding his stomach. I knew how miserable the poor dear was as I sat nearby and watched as he was wreathing in pain. He appeared much thinner and frail. He is 53 yrs old. This is a very trying time for all my family. I want to thank ALL my dear friends and family for your sweet prayers. It means the world to me.I can not tell you. Now, is the time to keep the faith and the prayers going. When things get tough you look up!!!My brothers are very special to me and I love them dearly. My sister also. Tho, we don't see eye to eye we are always there for one another. But, Rick and I have always been close. This feels foreign to me. Wiping his brow with a cold compress at 2:00 in the morning is a far cry from us playing outside as children and climbing trees. So as our aging bodies deal with sickness and pain I realize another chapter has begun. God bless you all.
