Early Mornings

I woke up at 3:00 a.m. and had terrible indigestion so went downstairs for some remedy and feel better.I hate nights when I can't sleep as I know tomorrow will be tough. A lot of you know I suffer from SLE. Systemic lupus Erythmotosis. It is a horrible disease. painful and hard to treat. there is no cure. I go in and out of remission. I also have fibromyalgia and it's not fun either. You stay pumped up with drugs to make it through the days. It is hard I won't lie. I consider myself blessed as I could have it so much worse like some of my Fb friends. Face book has been great for me and I like to write. I have met wonderful talented ladies and a few nuts along the way. LOL It humbles me. I will say that. I love being a prim decorator and buying/selling as these help keep my mind off my illness. My husband is a trucker and works crazy hours so I need something to keep me busy. LOL Living in a 2 story house w/ 3 cats and a husband and a house full of primitives is quite the antidote. Not to make light because I suffer. I don't broadcast it but I do. I like to surround myself with things I love. My grandchildren. My cats. My dough bowls, buckets and on and on. It helps having a VICE, I call it.Good grief, it is now 4:30 A>M>Good night.

One week and one day till Halloween

I can not believe it is almost Halloween and I am still buying gourds and pics!!!LOL I do this every year!!I know it's crazy as I will be taking it all down Halloween night and preparing for Christmas!!Never ending this time of year but I love it!! Halloween day I light all my pumpkins. I make the Halloween Casserole every year following a tradition my parents made. I will post the recipe later. I may be 55 yrs young :) but I still enjoy Halloween. I still watch Charlie Brown's great pumpkin only now w/ my grandsons!!LOL I was thinking today when I was zipping down Interstate 40 listening to Led Zeplin cranked up, at what point do I give this all up!!LOL I mean my rock music and driving fast!!Although in Nashville if you don't drive fast you will get ran over!!LOL Anyway, Halloween can be fun and I love the decorating for fall. Soon it will be over and I will be trying to figure out where I can put a Christmas tree!!LOL I am tired so I will say good night and enjoy your last week before Halloween!!

Imagination

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood with all the leaves and crisp air! AAH. but I love the fall!! I always said I come alive in the fall and that is true!!I am changing my pumpkin, gourds and prims around.I love to do this but it is a day long process and I want to shop. I love nothing more than scouring junk stores in the fall especially and looking for that certain thing you can't live without! And then stopping for a pumpkin spice donut and an iced coffee at Starbucks. Hey that sounds pretty good so I better get my imagination flowing. I wanted to share some older photo's today as well. I hope your day is perfect and blessed in every way.

Early mornings

love this little guy I named Max.

This great crock from Amish country. Candle holder and candle from Prim shop.

I just love the early mornings. So peaceful and quiet. I couldn't sleep so I decided to head downstairs and make a pot of coffee. Smells and tastes so good on this crisp fall day!I wanted to post my finds from the mountains. I have to clean today as I was lazy yesterday. Who knows I may redecorate!LOL. There is always something to do in a prim home. I like to have my house cleaned and groceries bought by Thursday as yard sales start then. Ususally those are the best days to find deals. My garage is full of stuff I am selling soon so I have got to get busy on that before long. But for now I will savor the morning and decide if I want waffles or oats for breakfast.Have a blessed and happy day!

Smokey's getaway!!

PRIM SHOPPE
BABY JOSEPH

TASH AND BABIES

JOE LOVED THE JELLY FISH

THE CABIN

NICK LOVED THE FISH

We had the best time in the mountains this weekend. It was an all girls (w grandsons) weekend. My daughter Tasha and I took Joseph and Nicholas to the mountains for the weekend. It was wonderful to get away with them. Soon as we hit Pigeon Forge Nick said I am soooo escited and Joe said I cited too!!It was adorable watching their little faces light up. Tasha took Nick on a helicopter ride and rode the go carts. We did lots of shopping and ate out. We were tourists and hit all the sovenier shops and I even found 2 really great prim shops. So that made my day also!!:)Bought an old prim looking bear and a candle holder. At the Amish place found a beautiful crock. Will post these tomorrow. We went to the aqaurium and walked through Gatlinburg. My Husband's sister Lisa and her husband David own an 8 bedroom cabin there high in the mountains and we stayed there. I have 6 sister in laws and they were all there. Also, my nephew Josh's wife Steohanie was there with her baby's. We were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and the view was amazing. I pulled my curtians back and all you could see was mountains! The girls are all very close and accomplished women. Judy owns a beauty salon. Kim is retired but works a pt job at home. Lisa is a pediactric nurse. Tina is a nurse but also school teacher and she is currently teaching.Tracy is a radiologist.Vicki prepares taxes for businesses. They all have great jobs and are a close knot family. They are accomplished cooks and read tons of books. I looked around and saw Stephanie reading to Addison, Judy holding the baby, My grandsons playing, Some of the girls sipping wine or margherita's and reading. It was such a sweet site.Several of us watched a sappy chick flick and the other half were in the hot tub after the kids were asleep. The cabin is 3 stories and we all had our own bedrooms as the cabin sleeps about 40 I think. All in all it was wonderful to wake up to coffee made by Tasha and Vickie and Judy cooking up homemade pancakes with sausage crumbled up. It was lots of fun and can't wait till lloyd and I go back because we have always vacationed there. So, now I am home and have tons to do. Blessings to all.

Amazing Grace

This is a wonderful time to of the year. I am ever so thankful especially now for the beauty of the world and God's abounding grace.Everything is so colorful and warm. I have come to the conclusion that so many of us prim lovers are happiest when it is the fall of the year and gearing up for the Holiday's. We are decorators by nature and it is just a fun time. I am a pumpkin fanatic!!LOL I have bought a ton of them and real ones also for the yard and house. Our master bedroom is up high and it is like being in a tree house and it looks way down into the woods and river and is so pretty now with all the colorful leaves. At night the moon lights it all up and I just say Thank you God for lighting our way. So be thankful for these lovely fall days. Get out your pumpkins, buy some more.LOL Put out some fresh apples and put a pot of cider on. light the candles and bake some bread. It's all good.Of course we are always thankful but the fall just seems so special to me. Have a blessed day.
