DADDY'S CHILI

MOM AND DADDY

HERE IT IS: MY DADDY'S CHILI RECIPE. SUPER DELICIOUS:

1 LB GROUND CHUCK

1 SMALL ONION

1 CHILI BRICK

2 CAN PINTO BEANS

1 LARGE CAN TOMATOE JUICE

1 PKG WIENERS(OPTIONAL)

1 CAN HORMEL TAMALES

1 PKG CHILI SEAONING MIX (McCORMICKS)

McCORMACKS CHILI POWDER.

BROWN GROUND CHUCK AND ONION.

DRAIN

PUT IN LARGE POT/ ADD BEANS;TOMATOE JUICE AND MIXES.

THE CHILI POWDER IS FOR TASTE. HOWEVER SPICY YOU WANT IT.

LASTLY ADD TAMALES AND I CHOP THEM UP IN CHUNKS.

SIMMER 1 HOUR.

MARVELOUS!!!!

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE CHILI BRICKS JUST ADD EXTRA PKG OF CHILI MIX. A CHILI BRICK COMES IN A LOG AND GIVES THE CHILI A WONDERFUL CONSISTENCY! MY DAD AND MOM BOTH MADE THIS A LOT WHEN US KIDS WERE GROWING UP AND EVEN AFTER WE WERE GROWN. IT IS A FAMILY FAVORITE/ HOPE YOU ENJOY IT IF YOU DECIDE TO TRY IT. I ALSO COOK PASTA;PERSONALLY LIKE MACARONI AND ADD TO IT AND WE USE OYSTER CRACKERS.

HAPPY COOKING.

  1. This recipe sounds yummy, Candi! Never thought about adding tamales. It's in the 50s here, so it's perfect weather for chili!
    Thanks for posting it.
