Summer TYME!!

Summer time. Watermelon, grilling, swimming. vacations!!What a fun time of the year. I really enjoy the boys and taking them out to explore everything. Trying new things, new foods.  Climbing tree's and throwing rocks at the water!!Recently, my oldest grandson, Nick, and I went to my favorite antique store in Kentucky. McClard's Antiques. I love that as soon as we walked in, his face lit up like a Christmas tree! It was so sweet how he marveled at the old school desk  from the 1800's and civil war memorabilia. It was cute. He always loves Nana's JUNK as he calls it:) Good junk. Haha/
It is a great way to teach History and a love of antiques!

We had lot's of fun and Nick learned a lot of History that day! As we were leaving the shop, in walked Dan Weaver, from  A Primitive Place Magazine and Grecia Dunn a sweet friend of mine. Dan, was in town to photograph her beautiful salt box home. I was so thrilled to see him as Dan is an absolute sweetheart.

We had a wonderful day. Found my coverlet for my bed. A fun day/
