It was lots of fun decorating and our oldest Grandson Nick spent the entire weekend!!We watched movies, went out to dinner and shopping at walmart. Nick & I always go there and he gets treats and a new toy and they also have a McDonalds. So, now I have to get busy cleaning. Maybe some decorating. Where are my flags all at????

Wonderfully Primitive Day!!!

Today was Primfabulous! I went to breakfast first and then to an estate sale where I found an old prim basket and some old spoons. Also an old broom and a wreath. then I headed to the country to Cross Plains. It is a darling tiny little town nestled in the hills between Nashville and Franklin Ky. When I pulled into the town there were vendors on every block. The smell of hamburgers grilling and fresh flowers were wonderful!I found a great parking spot and started my journey. Before I got 1 /2 block I knew I was in trouble. Betty from The Old Pin cushion and her daughter Bridgette from Bridgett's Threads were set up!! Spent most of my money there. I was thrilled w/ the samplers that I got that Bridgette made.I found so many wonderful prims today and I am excited to start decorating!!Going to light my candles for anbience and get started.Maybe that will be tomorrow's post.

CRITTERS!

I had to write my post this morning. I was thinking if we all looked at the world through an animals eyes, what would you see???They see things differently than humans. Of course they have feelings. We should respect them as part of nature. It would be a sad world without animals. No birds chirping, no dogs walking, cats playing. I have a family of racoons that think they live here. The Mother Whitey, is what I call her as her mask s white had babies. She has brought them here and showed them where the food is kept for them. I have a HUGE pan of Sunflowers for them.I feel honored that she trust me enough to bring her babies here. So with this being said respect the wildlife and enjoy their beauty. When you are at a stoplight look at the birds flying around. Listen to them sing their beautiful songs. It would be a sad world without our Critters, At least for this Prim Gal it would be. Have a Blessed day!

Happy Days

Though I feel not that great ,I went ahead and ran my errands, It is so hot out and that seems to affect my Lupus MORE than the cold. Go figure!I am in terrible pain actually but you can not stop living. I am afraid if I give up and lay around that I will never get my strength back.So I continue to live my life and live it according to God's purpose and by having things like decoarating with prims that I am interested in helps me.And helping others also helps. So if you have an illness like LUPUS you can still live your life. It may not be going 100 MPH like I used to but at least you can learn to be appreciative for every little single Blessing you receive on a daily basis. God's Blessings to all who enter here!

Finally!!

Even if I manage to buy just a few new things it is hard to figure out where to put them and I end up tearing my whole house apart! Do you do that? I can never just place them somewhere, because it never works out that way!I enjoy it so much though. So here's the pics I promised of the few things I picked up.Here's the pewter pieces I found. Love Pewter!I particularly like this sampler and the lamps. It is a lot of fun decoarting with prims. I am so thankful for the ability to enjoy these things. Thank you Lord!!

Have a Blessed and Prim Happy rest of your day!!!

Life Unexpected!

Do you ever have days where you feel as though you are never going to get done with your chores? I feel that way most days as I get so fatigued from this SLE. Systemic Lupus Eurythmotosis! It is not a fun thing to have and many days you are in pain the entire day. Many days you feel overwhelmed and tired. Many days you are so stiff you can barely move your joints. Your head hurts and you feel like you have the flu! This is what it is like having SLE> Along with this I also have Sjogrens, Raynauds and Fibromyalgia. I am cured to death.I won't say it's easy. I will say you can live with it. If your brave. I don't really consider myself Brave but I do have a high level of pain to deal with and I don't let it slow me down. Not usually! For I am a child of God. I can do all things through Christ!God Bless you all.Enjoy every day. Life is short. Life is beautiful. Life is painful. Life hurts. But saved the best for last. Life is EVERLASTING!!!!! IF you believe in the almighty God and have a personal relationship with him,AND accepted him as your Lord and Saviour! I'll see you in Heaven!!If not, it's not too late. You see I was healthy once. I lived a FULL BUSY life more so than now. But my health was snatched up over night and I almost died. I have had 2 heart surgeries, kidney involvment, and many many other aliments. But God ALLOWED me to live so that I could tell my story and spread HIS word. I am telling you now. It's not too late. You may not wake up tomorrow or you may do as I did and not be able to get out of your bed, Go to bed fine. Wake up almost dead. It happened to me. I felt I was supposed to share with you all. Maybe one in particular. God knows!

PERFECTLY PRIMITIVE DAY!!!

Don't you love those days when you get away for a few hours. You escape the laundry and bills and head for the hills!!LOL! Venturing into antique heaven is what I LOVE to do. I like to make a day of it. That means breakfast and lunch out and traveling from little town to another little town.I love looking at the old barns and the cows wading in the muddy waters to keep cool!I love stopping for lunch at little cafe's and getting an ice cream at a place you've never been to.And the shopping and looking for that special piece you really don't need but you do really!!!My favorite Antique store is McClard's Antiques/ Collectables in Scottsville Kentucky. Gayle McClard is the Proprieter. She is a lovely sweet person that makes you feel so welcome and her shop is filled with beautiful antiques and reproductions as well. A wonderful variety of sorts and I could literally spend the entire day there. Today I found some Pewter pieces, an old tin Bucket, 3 grey granite pans, a lamp, and shade. Oh, what fun. But it was getting late as I had stopped on the way up and got my hair high lighted and cut so I left and made a few more stops including Rock Garden another wonderful Prim Shop!I didn't buy there but I saw lots that I liked. I was getting tired so I hit the McDonald's in Franklin ky. for a mocha Frappucino and that revived me some!!Now, Home sweet Home, Bath and dinner and decorating will have to come tomorrow. Have a wonderful night.

Busy Saturday!!

It has been such a busy day and this Prim gal is tired. We had to be at Nick's last Tee ball game at 9:30 in Joelton about 30 miles from here. It was hot as blue blazes as my Aunt Evelyn used to say!!Poor Nick turned green and threw up all over his Boppa. I was worried we may have to take him to the hospital as it was really hot and no air!!We brought him home with us after the game and I gave him a cool bath and out on new PJ's and he felt better!!Joseph had a great time watching Big Brother and spending time with his Boppa. We had a nice dinner and friends from Boston came by to visit. Now the dishwasher is humming and Boppa and Nick are watching Transformers upstairs. I put a big ol gown on and relaxing in front of the tube!Good night!!
